“Songs of Love and Faith”
with Aryeh Naftaly and friends

Singer-songwriter Aryeh Naftaly sings about both, crossing the lines traditionally dividing ‘religious’ from ‘secular’ here in Israel, while mixing elements of folk, rock, jazz and country music. Aryeh’s songs convey the ups and downs of his own personal and spiritual life, referring to Jewish sources and the landscape of Eretz Yisrael without pushing religion. The line-up includes Aryeh Naftaly on a variety of instruments, along with friends Duvid Swirsky on guitar and Rob Steiner on keyboards. The concert will feature songs in Hebrew, along with some songs in English from Aryeh’s new album, “Waiting for Elijah.”

Thursday, August 30 at 9 p.m. Admission: NIS 40

אריה נפתלי כותב שירה ומלחין המרבה לחצות את הקו בין הדתי לחילוני פה בישראל, ומשלב אלמנטים מוסיקאליים של רוק,  ג'אז וקאנטרי. שיריו מייצגים את העליות והמורדות של בחייו האישיים והרוחניים ומתייחסים למקורות היהודיים ולנוף הארץ. אריה מנגן על מגוון כלים יחד עם חבריו דוד צבירסקי – גיטרה, ורוב שטיינר – קלידים.   “Waiting for Elijah” הקונצרט יכלול שירים בעברית וכמה באנגלית מאלבומו החדש
